A message from Jax....

We had Jax's 9 month checkup this week and it was a success!  The kid was thrilled to be at the dr. because of all the kids in the waiting room......hilarious!  He's in the 50th% for weight and 75th for length.  I did however learn that I've been feeding him too much formula because he hasn't really taken to real food yet (he'll eat baby food but nothing chunky).  Why would he want to when he can get it from the bottle! :0)  So we've tried "real" food for the last couple days and so far he only likes cheerios.....I'm trying people!!  This is actually real progress!

Here are some pics from the last 9 months.  He has changed so much!  By the way, my friend Kaitlyn made his onesie in the 9 month picture......LOVE IT! :0)  Thanks, Kaitlyn!

Hey Santa!!

Well, we took Jax to see Santa yesterday and he burst into tears as soon as we put him in his lap.  It was so funny and sad at the same time.  So we asked for a redo and went and gave Jax a bottle and the result was the second picture below!  There's nothing like a good meal to change your mood! :0)

By the way, Santa said he has a bank account at Regions Bank in Jacksonville, hmmmmm......very odd....... :0)

So Jax is 9 months old today!  I think we are going to start calling him "cheeks" or "no neck"......its in there somewhere!!  Here he is with his tennis racket!  We're starting early!
Jax is still just the sweetest baby with a very easy going disposition.  He has gotten a little more difficult to feed baby food to though!  He only wants his bottle these days.  I think it might be because he is getting more teeth but I'm not sure.  He's still sleeping through the night but wakes up around 6 and wants to go to sleep at 6 so we are trying to shift that to 7!  Not the easiest thing to do!  He's still taking 2 naps a day and that gives me a couple breaks which is really nice!  He has gotten bolder and wants to try to stand up without holding on to anything but he just falls.  He isn't ready to walk yet though.  He likes the safety of holding on to us!  Everyone that said that each stage is more and more fun was so right!!  :0)

Thanksgiving fun!

Jax met his great grandmother for the 1st time last weekend.  Here's Granny Mathis and Jax...
Here's Uncle Doug with the boys......

I haven't been really good about taking pictures lately.  Going to try to work on that!  Jax is all over the place and is getting faster and faster at crawling and pulling up.  He hasn't mastered sitting down from standing up though and that has resulted in some bumps on his head!

Our kitchen is almost done so I'll try to post some pictures after its done.  We are looking forward to Christmas and we are going to try to take Jax to see Santa!  Hopefully we will get a good (or funny:0) picture!

Here's me, Jax, Melissa, Ashley (holding Julie's baby), Kai, and Julie....I loved seeing you girls!

Kai and Jax........they are a week apart in age.  Love this picture!  :0)
We hung out with my sister and my nephews and got to see Mimi and Papa!
Here's Mathis and Jax hanging out in Mathis's crib.  Love it!
And just because...... jax looks cute in a box! :0)

Very cool couple!

Here are some friends of ours here in Jacksonville that have triplets.  They are in our small group and have been an amazing testimony to us of God's faithfullness.   Check out their story here

Here's a picture of them as they dedicated their babies today.  Precious little babies!

A couple firsts!

Jax had a busy week.  We dressed him up for his 1st Halloween and he had his 1st UGA football tailgating experience.  It was a long day but we had fun with friends.  (It would have been a little more fun if we had won but maybe next year!)  Here are some pics!

Jax and Riley hanging out.  They just love eachother!  They both light up when they see eachother!
Here's our little pumpkin with his dad!

Here we are tailgating....yes, I am partial to hats on him! :0)

Just hanging out....

Please ignore the goofy parents talking... :0)
For whatever reason you can't view this if you are using Firefox.  If anyone knows why please let me know!

Howdy People!

I found this hat and thought it was hilarious!  I tried to find some boots but no luck!  Also, the jeep below is his favorite toy these days.  He'll follow us around the kitchen in it.
Jax is getting faster at crawling and since we have hardwood floors now he hurts himself more often when he falls.  Very sad to see!  Also, he's started pulling himself up.  This stage has been so fun to watch!  And he now has 2 teeth!  I've got video to share that show them but have been having a hard time getting it on the blog so when I figure it out, you'll be able to see them!
Here he is pulling himself up on the ottoman!

We went to dinner with some friends and Jax sat next to his friend Kelly.  This was actually the 1st time we've put Jax in a high chair.  They were cute sitting next to each other!

Our niece is here!

Update: She has a name!  Meet Reagan Nicole Jackson

"Little baby sister" Jackson was born today at 3:40PM. She weighed 7lbs, 10oz and was 19 inches long!  She's adorable with curly hair!  No name yet but I'll let you know when they decide.  Here are some pics!
I think she looks just like her big sis!
Here is the new family of 4! (I know, Lisa doesn't even look like she just gave birth!)

Riley is very excited about her new baby sister!
A very proud grandmother.......
And of course a very proud aunt!  See her smiling at me?! :0)

Passing some milestones at 7 months!

We've been out of touch for a little while because we are having our floors redone and our kitchen remodeled.  Our house is a wreck!  :0)

Jax is now 7 months and has started crawling!!  Yes, its true!  Its a slow crawl unless he is motivated and then he gets there pretty quick!  Also, he got his 1st tooth.  Teething hasn't been horrible but he definitely wasn't his same smiley self.  Now we are back to the old Jax and he's just a droolin', smilin fool!  :0)  He's also getting more of that red hair!  David and I are still amazed that he has red hair.  We think its just adorable! (Of course!)

Also, my mom was in town for a last minute trip to see us!  I loved it!  Thanks so much for coming, Mom!

And last but not least....WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A NEW NIECE TODAY!!!  YIPPEE!!  (I'll keep you posted with pictures to come!)  David's mom is here to see her new Grandaughter!  It has been so good to hang out with her AND she has been our babysitter this week! :0)

Here's our little guy ready to crawl.....(he's also fond of the
"downward dog" yoga pose but I couldn't get a full pic of that!)  He's very serious when he's working...

Whirlwind trip!

We all went to Atlanta last weekend and we had a great time.  It was Marshall's 4th bday so we made the trip to celebrate.  David and I dropped Jax at my parents for Friday night and we went and stayed at the Ritz!  It was so fun and a much needed night together.  We also went to the Fox to see Les Miserables.  David did an awesome job planning everything and we had a great time!  Here are some pictures from the whole weekend!

We also got to see my sweet friends Karin and Ashley and their boys.  Karin just had David a few weeks ago.  (I worked with both of them at North Point Ministries.)  It was so fun to see them and hang out even though it was for a short amount of time.  I love you guys!

Just because....

HE'S SO DARN CUTE!!!!

DAVID'S SISTER IS MARRIED!!

We went to Mississippi for the weekend and had a blast with David's family.  David and I were both in the wedding!  We even got to walk down the aisle together which was so fun!  It was a beautiful wedding and the bride and groom were glowing!  Congrats Melissa and Randy!  We love you!

I also sang which was fun.  The song I sang was "Captivate Us" by Watermark which is a beautiful song.  I'd love to get back to singing in weddings so if you know anyone getting married who needs a singer, I'd love to do it!

Dedicating our baby boy!

David and I dedicated Jax at our church on the 17th.  This was a really special day for us!  At our church, the dedication means that we will raise Jax to know what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus.   My family came in town for the big event which was awesome!  Here are some pictures.....
My dad with "the boys". (He always ends up with all three!)
