Potty training, bikes and Halloween!

We are doing it all folks! Potty training, riding bikes, carving pumpkins! We started potty training a couple weeks ago and there's no turning back now! Without being too graphic, we've conquered #1 but are SO not getting #2. Oh well, a friend told me the other day, "you never see an 8 year old wearing diapers.....". I know he will get it but this is the most frustrating process!! Any suggestions are welcome!

David taught Jax to ride his bike with training wheels the other day. I was inside making dinner and I looked outside and there he went, down the sidewalk on his bike like a grown kid. I was shocked! He has gotten pretty good at it and is enjoying a new freedom. Luckily he goes slow enough that we can always catch up with him! :0)

Jax had a Halloween parade at school. I tried to get him excited about wearing his cowboy costume and marching in the parade. He was pretty much confused as to why they were walking through the parking lot of the school and why he was wearing an oversized hat and vest. Oh well! There's always next year!

David and Jax carved a pumpkin together this year. Well, David did all of it and every so often Jax would check in to see how it was going. Nonetheless, here it is! We'll go trick-or-treating tonight on our street. Should be fun!

And here I am, my pregnant self with Jax. I'm hoping the holidays go by quickly because I'm oh so tired of being pregnant. Hoping to master potty training before the baby comes!! :0)

Pumpkin Patch!!!

We headed to a pumpkin patch today! It was a little hot for pumpkin picking but Jax had a blast!

We headed to Atlanta for my Mom's birthday a couple weeks ago. Jax and I flew to Atlanta and David met us there a few days later. We had a great time while we were there. I even got some quality time with my Mom and sister!

Jax started school last week! He is now in 2 year old preschool. He goes 3 days a week from 9-1. He was a little tentative the 1st and 2nd days but I know he'll adjust to it and love it!

BIG Summer!!

Its been a big summer for us! We moved Jax into bunk beds and he is sleeping great in his new room! He's not a baby anymore and everyday I wonder where the time went because he has gotten so big. He is talking all the time and it is so fun to hear what he comes up with. Jax has the sweetest disposition and loves being around anybody and everybody!

We also found out we are expecting a baby at the end of January! Jax is going to be a big brother! I'm finally past most of the morning sickness and have transitioned into what I like to call the "eating phase" quite nicely. :0) We are going to have another boy which is going to make me seriously outnumbered but I'm excited for the craziness!

Beach time!

Jax did summer camp for 5 weeks at his preschool. He had a blast! Here he is showing off his kicks before camp one day.

We spent a lot of time on the boat (before the morning sickness set in).

My sister and her family came to town and the boys went tubing!

My parents also came to visit! We loved having Mimi and Papa here!

David and I went to dinner at Ruths Chris to celebrate the day we found out we were having another boy.

Jax and I went to Mississippi for the week to visit David's parents. Here is Jax on the plane. He loved "riding the big airplane"!

Jax went fishing and really loved splashing the water with the fishing pole....Papa caught the fish despite all the splashing! :0)

We went to Papa's work and Jax got to sit in all the big trucks! He was amazed to say the least!

And we got to spend a little time with Daddyjack, David's grandfather.

He's growin' up!

He's 2!! Its been a crazy couple months with Jax! He's talking more and more and is just the funniest little guy. He's a joy to be around!

Jax had a great birthday at the playground with friends. The weather was beautiful and he loved the cake and pizza!
