Well, our sweet baby boy is 1 year old. I'm absolutely shocked at how quickly this year has gone by. Whitaker is the sweetest, happiest baby. (Right now I'm typing while at the same time trying to keep Whit from digging through the trash.) He LOVES to be held and hugged and he is obsessed with his daddy! He also thinks Jax is the funniest thing on 2 legs. Whit started walking a couple weeks ago and he babbles and says "dadda" and "mama" ("mama" was his first word but he has since traded me in for "dadda":0). He loves to play and he's a great sleeper. He has started to show signs of dropping his first nap but can you blame him?! He wants to play with his big brother! We went for his 1 year checkup yesterday and he is off the chart in height! He is in the 50% for weight so he is a pretty big boy (23 lb). Whit's hair is stick straight and brown and his sweet newborn blue eyes have finally settled on a hazel color. I'm trying to really focus on treasuring these moments with both Jax and Whit because the monotony of our daily routine is exhausting most days!
So now to the other big thing going on in our lives! We are in the process of buying the house across the street from my sister which is really exciting! The unfortunate thing is that we were supposed to close on December 16th but because of some property line issues, we weren't able to close. We have had 2 other closing dates that didn't work out but we did end up closing on the house this evening! Yay!! We have to be out of our rental house on Feb 4th and the floors have to be redone in the house that we are moving to so that we can actually live in it. As you can see this has been a major stressor in our lives. I'm ready to get settled and have a little more consistency around here. Also, I'm so excited to be closer (an understatement!) to my sister and her family! We will be doing quite a few renovations to the house so I will post pictures. David is anxious to get started on all the projects! Also, Jax will be starting a new school in February. This will be his 3rd preschool this year. He has adjusted well but I feel so bad about switching him around so much.
So after all that!! Here are some pictures!
