1st smiles!

Well I thought this one deserved its own post!  Jax started smiling in the last week and it is wonderful!  Who knew a smile could be so great!  Well we tried to get some pictures to share but Jax gets preoccupied with the camera so here is a half smile.  I wasn't able to get a picture of the goofy open mouth smile that makes me so happy.....I'll keep trying!

I finally made it back to Atlanta!

Jax and I made our maiden voyage to Atlanta last week and it was wonderful!  We hung out with Aunt Lindsey, Uncle Doug, and Jax's cousins, Mathis and Marshall!  It was so good to see my nephews.  I haven't seen them since Christmas and they have both changed so much.  We also got to stay with Mimi and Papa and we had so much fun!  The car ride was great.  Fortunately Jax slept most of the way and it only took us 7 hours which was ok since I had to stop to feed him twice.   We also had a photo shoot with Audrey which was fun!  Audrey thanks so much!  It was so good to see you!  I can't wait to see the pictures!

Marshall loved holding Jax and kept saying "I love baby Jax".  It was so cute!  Here are some pics from our trip.

Its been a while....

Sorry its been a while since I posted anything......I got preoccupied and then my parents were in town (YEA!!!) and then I got a stomach virus......not too fun.  

Here is a pic from my computer camera....I'll post some more soon.  Jax is 5 weeks old!  Crazy how time flies!  He's for sure getting longer and he weighs 8lbs 13oz.  

Who do you think he looks like?  David and I can't figure it out!

3 weeks and June 11th!!

Well first of all, Jax is 3 weeks old as of yesterday.....pretty crazy!

Things we have learned about Jax:

-he's very fond of keeping a schedule (he wants to eat every 3 hours pretty much by the minute!)

-he's not a fan of being dirty (we are buying stock in Pampers)

-he's a good sleeper (takes after his mom)

-he LOVES riding in the car

We can't wait to see him smile at us!  We've seen him smile in his sleep and it is a darned cute one!  Here is the latest picture.... (Our friend Gail gave us that onesie!  I love it! Thanks, Gail!)

Here is a random picture I took of Jax in his bed.  I went in to check on him and this is what he looked like.  I thought it was pretty funny!

I went to the hematologist yesterday and it looks like June 11th will be the last day of my shots!  WOOHOOO!!  It will be nice not to have to think about that anymore.  The dr. said that he'll do an ultrasound of my leg then to see if the blood clot is gone and I'll also have some tests done to see if I have a clotting disorder.   Just a little over 2 months!

Here is a picture of Riley, Lisa and Jax.....Riley is SO cute with him!  She gets close to him and waves at him, pretty funny!
