The kitchen is finished.....well pretty much :0)

We finished our kitchen a few months ago except for some odds and ends.  I've had some requests for pictures from friends in Atlanta so here they are.  Mad props to my sister who helped me a lot!!

David built the open shelving and it looks so good.  It turned out even better than I pictured it!

Also got this table and chairs that I have really enjoyed!  (Still working on getting curtains for those windows.....:0)

David's 30th birthday! (I know it was a month ago!)

So I never got David a birthday present because he is almost impossible to buy for!  So I finally figured out what I was going to get him a month after his birthday.  I sent him out for some ground beef and he came home to a scavenger hunt with clues leading him to various places around town.  Pretty funny!  He was very surprised!  He ended up at his brother's where I was because they were watching Jax for a couple hours.  Then we headed to a cuban restaurant in town called Havana Jax Cafe.  It was delicious!  Then I gave him a watch that he has been looking at for a while.  So I actually managed to surprise him!  Woohoo!!!
Side note, I bought David a watch winder for a wedding gift and told him that one day I would get him the watch to go in it......5 years later, I got him the watch!  :0)

Here we are at the restaurant!

Celebratin' Valentine's Day!

We spent Valentine's with friends this year!  We managed to stretch it out over 3 days.  It was a lot of fun!  We celebrated early with the Melting Pot....I'm a big fan of fondue :0)  Then on Valentine's we went with some friends to Cheesecake factory.  We actually waited 3 hours for a table.  I never thought I would wait that long for a table but somehow we managed to make the time pass quickly with drinks and shops!

David and I & our friends Kaitlyn and Nathan at the Melting Pot.  We had a great time and managed to not completely stuff ourselves!  Kaitlyn is a sweet friend of mine that has been such an encouragement to me over the past few months!  She also watches Jax for me sometimes when I have dr. appts....  YEAAA!!  Thanks, Kait! :0)   She is having her baby, Weston, on Jax's bday!  I think he and Jax will be good buddies in a couple years!

And then Valentine's dinner again with our good friends Brian and Jamie (next to me) and their neighbors....  We had a great time and some great conversation. We actually even had Jax with us and he was a trooper. (Its hard to find a sitter on Valentine's!  He was at the end of the table in the stroller asleep because it was about 9:30!)

11 MONTHS OLD!! Sniff, sniff....

Well, I can't believe it but our little boy is 11 months old today!  What will I do?!  Jax is still crawling everywhere.  He is getting more daring and starting to try to stand on his own.  He loves being around people and is a big flirt!  He is still taking 2 naps a day which is nice for me.  We think he is saying "daadaa" when he sees David (of course it could be wishful thinking on our part.)  I can't believe he is almost a year old!  (Look at his crazy hair....its getting harder to tame!)

I know, I'm no Audrey :0).  Here are some pics I took today.
