What we did for Easter.....

Easter was so great this year.  We were able to take Jax to church which I was really happy about!  The music and message were fantastic and Jax got to rock out for the first time!  (Anyone know the name of the song that opened the service??  It was amazing!)  I think he loved it because he slept through the whole thing!  It was such a special time for me to worship and reflect on the past year and what God has done in mine and David's lives.  He has been so good to us!

My mom was here and provided some much needed moral support!  Thanks mom!  I miss you a ton already.  Jax has benefitted from your advice for sure!

The Jackson's had been here for the week.  Thanks so much for coming!  Hopefully we will see you soon.  We were able to get a picture of all 4 David Jackson's.  Pretty cool!

Here are some pictures from the day!  You can't tell very well in the pictures but Jax is wearing a "Baby's First Easter" outfit.  David was a little hesitant about it....  :0)  But anyway, I thought it was adorable!   (And yes, David is reading the Fairtax book to Jax.......hey, whatever works!)

Some pictures....

Here are some pictures since Jax's birth!  Thanks everyone for your phone calls and emails.  I'm sorry I haven't returned some of them.  We've been living in a sort of sleep deprived fog.  I promise you will hear from me again!  (Sometimes the slideshow is a little fast but this is my first time using iMovie!  Until I figure it out, just don't blink and maybe you'll catch a picture or 2! :0)

Everything is working just like it should

Wave at the camera!

Jax is here!!

Jax was born at 12:37 PM Wednesday, March 12th!!  He was 7lbs 6oz, 21 inches long.
We checked into the hospital Wednesday at 6AM for a scheduled induction and ended up having a scheduled csection.  The csection ended up being a really good thing because when Jax came out, the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck 3 times.  God was watching out for this little guy!  He is really healthy and has so far been a great eater!  Jax has reddish hair which was a surprise for David and I!  We knew he was going to have a little hair but we thought it would be really dark!  Here are some pictures of our busy day on Wednesday.  We'll put more up as soon as we have some.

4 am (part 2)

Well, this morning I woke up at 3 and stayed in bed until 4 and then got up to watch tv.  The difference with this morning and other mornings in the last month are that I actually see an end in sight AND my sister is sitting here with me!  Apparently, she can't sleep either and usually wakes up at this time and has since she had kids!

By the way, its so much better to be up at 4 if you have some company!

We're off to the hospital at 6am!!  (David and I are of course, not my sister!  She'll probably go back to bed!)

4 am again.....

Well, I'm up at 4 am again......this has been my schedule for the last maybe 2 months?? Go to bed at 10 or earlier and then wake up at 4, eat breakfast watch some tv and then go back to bed at around 7 or 8 and sleep until 10:30, 11.   David and I are hoping that Jax will be on that schedule since I have adjusted to it so well, probably no such luck! :0)  I'm excited to move on to the next phase because I want to meet him......the other less important reason is because I have run out of shows to watch on OnDemand.  Before OnDemand it was non stop coverage of the 2008 election, then I moved on to OnDemand Road Rules/Real World challenge, then Party of Five (that brought me back to memories of college......  Julie, Melissa and Amy would appreciate that!  Unfortunately, Julie, I haven't gotten to the episodes with your twin...  :0) ) , and now I'm finishing up with the stand up comics from comedy central.  I officially feel worthless!  :0)  One more day!
