Jax's friend Lane!

Here's a picture of Jax and Lane.  Lane was born 3 months before Jax and her mommy is my friend Zoie.  Lane is PRECIOUS!  Jax better be real sweet to his friend Lane!  (Lane enjoyed chewing on Jax's arm!)  Also, Jax is wearing a bib because he spits up a lot and I'm tired of changing his clothes!
Funny story: I was in the Gap and Jax was wearing a bib like the one in the picture and a lady said to me, "how cute, what's his name?"  uhhhhhhh.....  :0)

Sweet baby boy

Its 12:30 at night and I couldn't sleep because I kept thinking about a blog I ran across this evening.  (I'm kind of a "blurker"- blog lurker.  My friend Ashley used this term and I'm not sure if its a real term or if its something she made up...either way, pretty clever :0))   The blog is written by a woman, Angie, who found out when she had been pregnant for 20 weeks that her baby girl would not survive outside the womb.  She carried Audrey Caroline to 34 weeks.  Audrey lived for 2 hours after she was born.  What a devastating thing for this family and yet Angie has the most amazing faith in God and looks to him for comfort and peace.  If you have the time, you should check out her blog .

After I read that, I went in to wake up Jax for his last feeding of the night.  I normally don't really cherish these moments like I should.  I picked him up and smelled his sweet head and just prayed that he would sleep soundly and safely tonight.  After I fed him I just didn't want to put him back in his crib.  I just wanted to keep holding him.  Here is a picture David took right before I put Jax in bed.  I hope I can always remember to thank God for each precious day I get to spend with my sweet baby.  What an amazing gift!

3 Months old

Jax turned 3 months yesterday!  He's a busy guy these days.  He has turned over on his own a couple times....(he does a good "downward dog" yoga pose in his crib if he's really mad about being in there which led to the roll over!)  He's also smiling a ton which is so wonderful!  (Didn't get a smile this time because he was ready for his nap, maybe next time.)  Here are some 3 month pics.  (He hasn't mastered sitting up quite yet!)
AND...GOOD NEWS!!  I'm done with my shots!  Woohooo!!!  I have to have some tests done to make sure I don't have any clotting disorders and then they will ultrasound my leg to see if the clot is gone.  If we decide to have another baby then I'll have to start the shots again to prevent another clot but for now, I'm done!  Praise God!
Here's a picture of David and Jax sleeping!  Jax was in hog heaven sleepin on his daddy!

40 years!

We went to Atlanta last week for my parent's 40th wedding anniversary party.  We had a great time with my family!  I love you Mom and Dad!
Jax hung out with his cousins which is always fun to watch.  Here's Mathis poking Jax and giving him a hug!  Look at that smile!
Here's me and Linds and Jax and Aunt Lindsey.....

Memorial Day rewind!

Well I didn't forget about this but I didn't have any pictures to share yet.  Thankfully Zoie captured some for us!  For Memorial Day we went out on a boat with some friends.  The Morales's were gracious enough to let us join them for the day!  We hung out with Michael and Zoie and their 2 kids and Michael's parents.  We had a great time and David got some pointers on how to teach a 2 year old to tube and ski!  I know David is ready to teach Jax!

Great picture of Zoie, Will and Michael tubing!  FUN FACT: David's old small group coleader for Xtreme at Buckhead Church told us about Michael and Zoie when we found out we were moving to Jacksonville.  Michael used to lead a small group in Xtreme at Buckhead too.   Michael was the first person David contacted before we moved here and he helped us get connected at Access Church.  They are a precious family and I'm so thankful that we met them.

Beach Day!

We went to the beach Saturday with Mac, Lisa and Riley.  We drove all the way to Fernandina beach which was about 45 minutes away.  It was nice change but we decided we prefer the beach 10 minutes from our house!  It was fun bit I spent most of our time worrying that Jax might be getting too hot or burned.  I'm hoping that I become less neurotic or they come out with a full body umbrella for babies!  Here are some cute pictures from the day.  Our sweet baby has gotten longer and bigger!  The kid is gonna be like 6' 5"! :0)
