Its 12:30 at night and I couldn't sleep because I kept thinking about a blog I ran across this evening. (I'm kind of a "blurker"- blog lurker. My friend Ashley used this term and I'm not sure if its a real term or if its something she made up...either way, pretty clever :0)) The blog is written by a woman,
Angie, who found out when she had been pregnant for 20 weeks that her baby girl would not survive outside the womb. She carried Audrey Caroline to 34 weeks. Audrey lived for 2 hours after she was born. What a devastating thing for this family and yet Angie has the most amazing faith in God and looks to him for comfort and peace. If you have the time, you should check out her
blog .
After I read that, I went in to wake up Jax for his last feeding of the night. I normally don't really cherish these moments like I should. I picked him up and smelled his sweet head and just prayed that he would sleep soundly and safely tonight. After I fed him I just didn't want to put him back in his crib. I just wanted to keep holding him. Here is a picture David took right before I put Jax in bed. I hope I can always remember to thank God for each precious day I get to spend with my sweet baby. What an amazing gift!
